FC-Amarillo wants your help picking the team’s name.
On Wednesday, the indoor soccer team announced a naming competition on Facebook. Fans of the team are encouraged to send their team name ideas to stephanie@806prosports.com, where the enteries will then by reviewed by a committee of league officials. If the team name is selected by multiple people, then it will then go into a drawing for two season tickets.
In a statement, league owner and commissioner Stephanie Tucker said she is excited for the competition and believes it will give fans a way to be involved in the team.
“We are so excited about this contest,” Tucker said in the statement. “This is YOUR team. We want the name to reflect not just Amarillo, but what the fans want!”
Entries will be accepted through January 25, 2019. A winner will be selected on February 12th.
