A national list of Sears stores set to close shows Amarillo’s store may soon be facing that fate.
According to Sears, the local store at Westgate Mall is expected to close with a number of other stores across the country in late March. The store’s auto shop component is expected to close in January 2019.
The announcement was made as the company has been in the process of financial restructuring. Liquidation sales at the stores set for the March closure are expected to begin in about two weeks.
