Records show James Abbott, candidate for Randall County Court at Law #2, is the most experienced candidate seeking that office.
Court records from Randall County show that since his first appearance in the Court in 2005, Abbott has had 104 cases come through the Randall County Court at Law #2. Meanwhile, attorney Stewart R. Werner has had 78 cases come through the court and Matt Martindale has had 24 cases come through Randall County Court at Law #2.
Abbott, who is the self-proclaimed "Amarillo's Divorce Lawyer," is running on a platform of experience in his race. Abbott is facing Werner, an attorney with decades of family law experience, and Martindale, a country musician and attorney.
Voters will decide the race on March 6th. The winner of the Republican primary race will succeed the retiring Judge Ronnie Walker.
