Amarillo Police Investigating D&T Food Store Robbery

Amarillo Police are investigating a robbery that took place at the D&T Food Store (1712 Northeast 24th Avenue) on Thursday.

According to APD, officers were dispatched to the reported robbery on Thursday at the D&T Food Store. When officers arrived, they found that a suspect had entered the store and was armed with a silver handgun. The suspect put an envelope on the counter and demanded money.

The employee placed the money in the envelope and the man took the envelope and left the store.

Witnesses say that the man appeared to be Hispanic and was wearing a red bandana on top of his head, a black and blue plaid jacket, red shirt, black and white shorts, and his socks were pulled up to his knees. 

No arrests have been made at this time.
