West Texas A&M University announced on Wednesday that Dr. Dean Hawkins, Dean of the Paul Engler College of Agriculture and Natural Sciences, passed away on Tuesday night.
According to WTAMU, Hawkins passed away on Tuesday night. Dr. Hawkins, who served as Dean of the Paul Engler College of Agriculture and Natural Sciences, is remembered for his innovation in the cow-calf industry, as well as his dedication to West Texas A&M University. Hawkins also played an important role of the naming of the Paul Engler College of Agriculture and Natural Sciences and the development and construction of the new Agricultural Sciences Complex.
The Hawkins family will receive friends on Friday, March 2nd, from 6pm through 8pm at the First United Methodist Church in Canyon.
