Bicycle Committee to Receive Presentation on Projects

The City of Amarillo Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Committee is planning to host a meeting next week to receive presentations from staff on ongoing projects in Amarillo.

Committee members will receive presentations next week on projects in the Mrs. MD Oliver-Eakle of Plemons Subdivision of Amarillo and street overlay projects across town. In addition, committee members will also discuss future meeting formats and host a public comment period.

Amarillo's Pedestrian and Bicycle Committee was formed by Amarillo's previous City Council to address safety concerns for bicyclists and pedestrians in Amarillo. Members of the committee include avid cyclists and pedestrians, as well as concerned citizens.

The board will meet on Monday, March 19th in Room 203 of the Simms Municipal Building (808 South Buchanan). The meeting begins at 11am
