Gander Outdoors to Host Reopening in Amarillo

When Gander Mountain returns to Amarillo later this month, it will reopen as Gander Outdoors.

Gander Outdoors announced this week that a reopening ceremony will be held at the company's Amarillo store (10300 I-40 Frontage Road) on Saturday, March 31st. The reopening will allow Amarillo area customers to visit the newly renovated store that will operate as one of only four Texas locations, employing over 70 people.

The grand reopening will include free pastries and coffee in the morning, followed by activities and giveaways all day long.

Amarillo's Gander Mountain closed last year after the company filed for bankruptcy. Celebrity investor Marcus Lemonis purchased the company and Gander Outdoors is now part of Camping World.

The reopening will begin at 9am.
