"On Friday, March 23, West Texas A&M University’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will teach business owners how to use smart phones and free editing apps to create effective videos for social media. The videos created will be featured at a special screening that night. Professional videographers from Kuker Films, Lemieux Company and ROI Online will be on hand to teach the how, what and why of creating these professional videos.
“Video consistently has some of the highest view and share rates of all types of posts on social media platforms and is one of the absolute best ways to promote a business” said Gina Woodward, regional director of the WTAMU SBDC. “The SBDC focuses on teaching business owners new skills that can be put into action to help them better manage and grow their business. Being able to film and edit short, high-quality videos can help small businesses communicate messages in a way that sets them apart from the competition.”
The videos created will be at a Night at the Movies event, and the public is invited to attend. The screening will take place Friday, March 23 from 5:30-7 p.m. on the big screen in the Virgil Henson Auditorium, located at the Happy State Bank at 701 S. Taylor. Viewers will enjoy popcorn, drinks and hors d’oeuvres. Tickets are $10 for ages 13 and up and $5 for children age 5 to 12. To purchase tickets, please visit wtsbdc.com.
