Texas Tech's 2018 'March Madness' run has come to a close.
This weekend, Texas Tech fell short in their first appearance in the NCAA March Madness Elite Eight, losing 71-59 to Villanova. The team's loss sent the Red Raiders to the showers on an impressive March Madness run that created a milestone for the school's basketball program.
Following the loss, the Red Raiders were greeted by legions of fans outside of the United Supermarkets Arena in Lubbock on Monday morning. Texas Tech also released a statement on social media, thanking Red Raiders fans and seniors involved in the school's program. Texas Tech also promised "this is only the beginning."
