Child Abuse Prevention Conference to be Held at Amarillo Civic Center

A child abuse prevention conference will be held at the Amarillo Civic Center next week.

On Tuesday, April 17th, multiple community organizations and the Amarillo College Criminal Justice Department will host the 18th annual Child Abuse Prevention Conference. The conference will feature well-known speakers Chadwick Sapenter and Katherine P. Leslie, PhD.

The conference will be held as a recognition of April as National Child Abuse and Neglect Awareness Month.

The conference will be held in the Heritage Room of the Civic Center, beginning at 8:30am on April 17th. The conference will run until 4:30pm. Registration is $30, which includes lunch. Pre-registation is required.
