Congressman Mac Thornberry (R-Clarendon) voted on Wednesday for an amendment to the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act.
According to the U.S. House of Representatives journal, Thornberry voted in favor of the Stress Test Improvement Act of 2017 on Wednesday. The bill amends the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act to change the bill to establish limitations on Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review by the Federal Reserve Board, and to reduce the frequency of stress testing from semiannual to annual.
Thornberry joined a majority of members in securing passage of the bill by a 245-174 margin. 232 Republicans and 13 Democrats voted for the bill. A single Republican and 173 Democrats voted against the bill.
The bill will now move on to the U.S. Senate for consideration.
