Price Presides Over Opioid Meeting at Texas Capitol

State Representative Four Price (R-Amarillo) presided over a hearing of the Opioids & Substance Abuse Select Committee on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, Price, who was appointed chair of the committee, presided over the second hearing of the committee as it heard invited testimony on a handful of items. The Committee discussed studying the prevalence and impact of substance use and substance use disorders in Texas, as well as substance abuse and substance use disorders in pregnant women, veterans, homeless individuals, and people with co-occurring mental illness, according to the agenda for the meeting.

The Committee previously met on March 23rd. At the time of this article's writing, there have been no additional meetings added to the committee's calendar.
