The Amarillo Metropolitan Planning Organization will host a series of community meetings over the next two months.
According to information released on Amarillo.gov, the Amarillo MPO is planning to host community meetings, beginning on Thursday, May 10th. The meetings will focus on the 2020-2045 Metropolitan Transportation Plan, which includes both federally funded and non-federally funded regional products.
During the community meetings, residents are invited to come and go to learn more about the Plan. Among the topics discussed will be: safety, freight, highways, bicycles and pedestrian pathways, and transit, according to Amarillo.gov.
Meetings will be held at 5pm on the following dates and at the following places:
Thursday, May 10 – Southwest Branch Amarillo Public Library, 6801 W. 45th St.
Monday, May 21 – East Branch Amarillo Public Library, 2232 E. 27th Ave.
Thursday, May 24 – Cole Community Center, 300 N. 16th St., Canyon, TX
Monday, June 4 – North Branch Amarillo Public Library, 1500 N.E. 24th Ave.
Monday, June 11 – Northwest Branch Amarillo Public Library, 6100 W. 9th Ave.
