Amarillo Ranked Below Average for First Time Buyers

If you are looking to buy a home for the first time, one study says the factors to consider are below average in Amarillo.

According to the new "Best and Worst Cities for First Time Home Buyers" survey by WalletHub, Amarillo is ranked below average in a survey of three-hundred cities for first-time buyers. The rankings, considering factors like "Affordability," "Real Estate Market" and "Quality of Life," placed Amarillo at number 168 out of 300. Amarillo's worst ranking came in the "Affordability" category, while the yellow city made up points in the "Quality of Life" topic.

Overall, the best city surveyed was Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. The worst city for first time buyers, as decided by the survey, was Berkeley, California. The best city in Texas was Frisco, coming in at number seven.
