Amarillo Pioneer readers will likely see a new column, beginning next week.
Noah Dawson, an Amarillo activist and student, has agreed to begin writing a brand new weekly column for the Amarillo Pioneer. While some details are still to be decided on the column, "Noah's Remark" is expected to hit the pages of the Pioneer next Wednesday.
"We are excited to welcome Noah Dawson to the Pioneer team," Amarillo Pioneer editor Thomas Warren, III said. "We love showcasing the diverse opinions held by Amarilloans and Noah certainly has some important opinions to share."
The self-proclaimed libertarian has recently begun speaking at City Council meetings and has gained recognition for impassioned pleas on various topics. Dawson has also written guest columns for the Pioneer in the past.
In a statement, Dawson said he is excited to join the Pioneer as a weekly contributor, and hopes his opinions spark dialogue among Amarillo residents.
"The Pioneer is easily the best news source in town, and I'm excited to start writing a weekly column for the paper," Dawson said."
Dawson will join Trent Rosser as a regular weekly columnist for the Pioneer. Rosser, who was the recipient of the Pioneer's 2017 Pioneer Spirit Award, writes the fan-favorite "Rosser's Ramblings."
