A local community service organization is hoping to pick up approval next week from the Amarillo Planning and Zoning Commission.
According to an agenda posted to Amarillo.gov, the Planning and Zoning Commission is considering recommending approval to Heal the City Free Clinic's request to rezone a property in San Jacinto. The property, located in the vicinity of South Mississippi and Southwest 7th Avenue, would be rezoned from Residential District-3 to Neighborhood Service to accommodate Heal the City's free clinic, if approved. The Commission will not be in the position to grant a final approval on the project, but will consider approval of a positive recommendation for the rezoning to the Amarillo City Council. OJD Land Surveying is listed as the surveyor on the application.
Additionally, the Commission will consider granting recommendations for other properties in Amarillo. A property in the vicinity of Outlook Drive and a property located near 17th Avenue and Polk Street are up for recommendation. The applications on those properties are Ryan Mauldin and Todd and Melissa Dailey, respectively. OJD Land Surveying is listed as the surveyor on the Outlook Drive property, while no surveyor is listed on the Polk Street property.
Aside from these recommendations, Commissioners will consider voting to recommend approval of the creation of subdivision plats from previously unplatted properties.
The Amarillo Planning and Zoning Commission will meet on Monday, July 23rd, in the Council Chambers of Amarillo City Hall (509 Southeast 7th Avenue). The meeting will begin at 3pm, following a work session at 2:45pm.
