Amarillo College to Host Thrive Scholarship Q&A

"On Monday, July 30, Amarillo College will host a THRIVE Scholarship Parent FAQ Night at the Amarillo College Downtown Campus located at 1314 S. Polk Street beginning at 5:30 p.m. 

Representatives from admissions and financial aid will be on-hand to discuss specifics of THRIVE and to answer any questions that parents and families have about their students’ participation in the scholarship program. 

The THRIVE scholarship program was established by five community partners to allow qualified Amarillo ISD students the opportunity to attend Amarillo College at no-cost for up to three years. 

To qualify for the THRIVE scholarship program students must graduate from an Amarillo ISD high school with an 80 or higher GPA, and never been placed in a disciplinary alternative education program. Additionally, students need to apply to Amarillo College, complete the FAFSA, and the Amarillo College Foundation’s scholarship application. Amarillo ISD May 2018 Graduates are eligible for the THRIVE scholarship."
