eBay Auction Ends on 'Liberals' Billboard

One eBay user is now the proud owner of a controversial piece of Amarillo pop culture.

On Friday, an eBay auction for the vinyl from a billboard telling "Liberals" to leave Texas sold on eBay. After thirty disclosed bids, the auction ended with one lucky winner shelling out $500 and $75 shipping to own the controversial piece of political memorabilia.

As we previously reported, a billboard was recently erected near Vega, telling residents who are "liberal" to leave Texas. The billboard drew national attention and was removed at the request of the person who rented the space, Burkett Outdoor Advertising spokespersons said. The billboard has since been replaced with a billboard welcoming drivers to the Texas Panhandle.
