Academy Award Nominee Coming to AMA-CON

Edward James Olmos will be a special guest at this year's AMA-CON convention at the Amarillo Civic Center.

On Monday, the Amarillo Public Library announced that Olmos will be the special guest for this year's AMA-CON. Olmos will appear on panels at the convention and will present his own lecture, USA: The World I'm Living In. This event will be separately ticketed, with tickets being sold through Panhandle Tickets.

Olmos is an Academy Award nominee, nominated for his role in "Stand and Deliver." He is also known for his roles in "Blade Runner," "Selena," "Coco," "Miami Vice," "Dexter," "Battlestar Galatica," and "The West Wing." In addition to impressive film and television catalog, Olmos has also been nominated for a Tony Award, honoring excellence on stage.

AMA-CON will be held at the Amarillo Civic Center from August 4th through August 5th.
