Country music legend Willie Nelson is about to back Beto O’Rourke in an upcoming concert.
This week, the O’Rourke campaign announced Willie Nelson will perform a concert benefiting Beto O’Rourke’s campaign for the U.S. Senate in Austin. The show will also feature Nelson’s sons and Joe Ely, Tameca Jones and Carrie Rodriguez.
O’Rourke, the Democratic nominee for the U.S. Senate, appeared on stage with Nelson at a concert earlier this year. This show will mark the first time that Nelson has ever appeared on stage to support a candidate publicly.
Beto O’Rourke is an El Paso Congressman who is the Democratic Party’s nominee for the U.S. Senate. O’Rourke is facing Republican incumbent Ted Cruz and Libertarian Neal Dikeman in the November election.
