“Even with October fast approaching, it is not too late to enroll in fall classes at Amarillo College. In fact, right now is an excellent time to register for the next round of 8-week classes, which begin Oct. 22.
Success Is AC NewshpErnesto Olmos, director of advising, says that although advisors will be increasingly pressed for time as the next set of 8-week classes draws near, they presently have plenty of opportunity to visit with new or continuing students.
“This period of time between the first and second 8-week sessions really is perfect for students who want to meet with an advisor, register for classes and avoid the hassles of the last-minute rush,” Olmos said.
“Even if someone has not yet applied to the College, or if they are AISD graduates who qualify for the free Thrive Scholarship Program but have yet to take advantage of it, we can walk them through entire process, get them started in classes Oct. 22, and make sure they don’t miss out on the fall semester.”
Olmos suggests making an appointment to meet with an advisor because it streamlines the process – call (806) 371-5440. If you already know who your advisor is, you can schedule an appointment here.
Anyone can begin the enrollment process online, as well.
It also is never too soon to fill out the free application for Federal Student Aid, which is advisable for all students and a requirement for Thrive Scholarships.
For any questions about the enrollment process or classes at Amarillo College, please call AskAC at (806) 371-5000.”
