APD Investigating Incident in Westcliff

Authorities are releasing information on an apparent incident that took place in Westcliff on Wednesday night.

According to the Amarillo Police Department, officers were dispatched late Wednesday night to the 6700 block of Bengal on a report that several people had been shot. Officers arrived to find three victims in a residence, one of whom was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The other two people were found deceased.

Special Crimes authorities responded to the incident and determined Travis Eldridge, 21, shot and killed Donald Eldridge, 66. Travis Eldridge also is believed to have shot the victim who was transported to the hospital and then shot and killed himself inside the home.

Judge Gary Jackson was called to the scene. Special Crimes is continuing its investigation into this incident.
