National Democrats Set to Target Texas Congressional Seats in 2020

Six Republican-held congressional seats in Texas are set to be targeted by national Democrats in 2020, according to a new report from CNN.

According to the report, a recently released memo from the chair of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, Democrats have already picked out several House seats nationwide set to be targeted in 2020. Among the list will be six seats in Texas, the most heavily represented state on the list. Seats set to be targeted include those currently held by Mike McCaul, Chip Roy, Pete Olson, Will Hurd, Kenny Marchant, and John Carter.

In a report from the Texas Scorecard, it was noted Democrats unseated two Republicans from Texas congressional seats in 2018. However, some incumbents like Will Hurd, survived well-funded challenges from Democratic candidates.
