APD: One Shot in Spruce Robbery

Amarillo Police are reporting that one person was shot in a robbery in the 2600 block of Spruce this week.

According to APD, on Tuesday at around 1:36PM, officers were dispatched to the 2600 block on the report of a robbery. Officers found that a victim had been shot, another victim had been physically assaulted, and personal property had been taken from the victims. A description of the suspects had been put out and officers located the suspect vehicle. APD reports the subjects stopped the vehicle and ran on foot, causing a lockout at two elementary schools in North Amarillo.

Three suspects were taken into custody. Property belonging to one of the victims was found with the suspects. The suspects were interviewed by detectives, then arrested and booked into the Potter County Detention Center.

This case remains under investigation by APD.
