Republican Jason Foglesong has officially declared his candidacy to run for the 13th Congressional District seat in 2020.
Foglesong made the announcement in a press release this weekend, joining what is an already crowded Republican primary field. The Potter County precinct chairman describes himself as a “regular citizen who enjoys participating in politics” and says he will bring “solid conservative values to Washington,” if elected.
His entry into the race brings the field of Republican candidates looking to replace retiring U.S. Rep. Mac Thornberry (R-Clarendon) to ten. Two Democrats are also seeking the seat.
