On Friday, the Winegarner campaign announced that he has received the endorsement of the Texas Farm Bureau AGFUND. The organization, which represents the political arm of the Farm Bureau, is the latest organization to throw its support behind Winegarner’s bid for the Republican nomination to replace U.S. Rep. Mac Thornberry (R-Clarendon).

“This is a grassroots endorsement that was made by volunteer leaders from across the 13th District,” Winegarner said in a statement. “I appreciate the Farm Bureau’s confidence in me and my campaign, and I look forward to continuing to advocate for our district in Washington.”

Winegarner is facing fourteen Republican opponents in the primary election on March 3, 2020, including several candidates who have also recently announced major endorsements, including Vance Snider, Chris Ekstrom, and Elaine Hays.
