Potter Constable Jackson Draws Republican Challenger

Constable Idella Jackson will have a Republican opponent in 2020.

On Monday, Kerry Haney filed as a Republican to oppose Jackson in the 2020 race for the Precinct 4 Constable position in Potter County. Jackson, a Democrat, is the incumbent for the precinct that covers part of the central to northern part of Potter County.

Haney is a local attorney who most recently ran for Potter County Court at Law #1 in the 2018 Republican primary. Haney fell short of making a runoff, coming in last place in a three-way contest that also included Len Walker and eventual winner Walt Weaver.

The primary election for the seat will be held on March 3, 2020. Election Day is in November 2020.
