Hayden Pedigo is officially running for a spot on the Amarillo City Council.
On Friday, Pedigo filed to claim his spot on the ballot for the upcoming May 4th City Council election. Pedigo, a musician and credit union supervisor, filed his application to challenge Councilwoman Elaine Hays for her seat, becoming the only challenger running for Place 1, at this time.
The move leaves Councilman Eddy Sauer as the final incumbent without a filed opponent. Sauer is running for re-election.
Candidate filings will continue through Friday, February 15th. Election day is May 4th.
