Amarillo Paid Parking Grace Period to End

If you are caught parking without paying in downtown Amarillo after Monday, you can expect to get a ticket.

According to the City of Amarillo, the grace period for paid parking violations will end Monday, as the City ramps up enforcement of the new parking program. Citizens will be required to pay to park in select spots around downtown Amarillo through ParkMobile, an internet-based parking app for cellphones.

Paid parking will not be enforced during evenings or on weekends, but will be enforced during business hours every weekday. The required parking fee for a driver is $1 per hour, with the option to parking in a single space for a maximum of three hours.
