Amarillo ISD Board to Talk Trustee Replacements, Budget

Amarillo Independent School District trustees will discuss the upcoming fiscal year’s budget and more on Monday.

According to an agenda released by AISD, on Monday, June 17th, the Amarillo ISD Board will meet for its regularly scheduled meeting with plans to discuss the district’s 2019-2020 budget. Trustees will hold a public hearing on the budget and consider adoption of the item.

Also, during the meeting, trustees will discuss the appointment process to replace resigned trustees John Ben Blanchard and Renee McCown. “Necessary action” could be taken during the meeting on the replacement process. Trustees will also discuss the process to potentially rename Lee Elementary School, which was started by a unanimous vote during May’s school board meeting.

The meeting will begin at 6PM on Monday at the Amarillo ISD Education Support Center.
