Governor Greg Abbott is telling plumbers not to be concerned about the State Board of Plumbing Examiners.
On Tuesday, Abbott announced that he plans to keep the plumbing board alive after the Texas Legislature failed to save the agency during the 86th Legislative Session.
“…We’ve got this,” Abbott tweeted. “The Legislature has given the Governor many tools in my toolbox to extend the State Board of Plumbing Examiners for two years without needing to call a special session. We will let you know very soon. Don’t worry.”
It is not yet clear how Abbott plans to save the plumbing licensing agency. However, the Governor has said he does not plan to call a special session.
