Ronny Jackson has picked up another major endorsement in his bid to replace U.S. Rep. Mac Thornberry (R-Clarendon).
On Friday, the Jackson campaign unveiled its latest endorsement from former U.S. Secretary of Energy Rick Perry. In the endorsement, Perry threw his weight behind the former White House physician in the crowded Republican primary race.
“We need him in the fight for our Texas values…,” Perry said in the statement.
Perry served as Secretary of Energy under President Trump and also served as Texas governor from 2000 to 2015.
Jackson is of 15 Republicans in the race. Voters will decide this primary on March 3rd.
