With the presidential race and local propositions driving turnout this year, voters in Potter and Randall Counties turned out in big numbers to vote on the first day of early voting this week.
On Tuesday, October 13, 7,278 voters cast ballots in-person between Potter and Randall Counties. In Potter, 2,694 voters cast in-person ballots, with the most voters showing up to vote at the Santa Fe Building in downtown Amarillo, where over 800 voters cast ballots. Meanwhile, in Randall County, 4,584 voters cast ballots, with the Randall County Annex showing the highest turnout with 1,442 voters casting ballots.
Thus far, 12,200 voters have cast ballots by mail and in-person between both counties.
Early voting runs until October 30. Election Day is November 3.
