President Donald Trump is leading Democrat Joe Biden, according to a pair of new polls released on Thursday.
In the first poll released Thursday from University of Massachusetts Lowell, Trump led Biden by 1 point, 48-47%. Libertarian Jo Jorgensen pulled down 2% in the poll, while Green Party hopeful Howie Hawkins rounded out the field with 1%.
The second poll out Thursday came from RMG Research, and showed Trump opening up a 4 point lead over Biden, 50-46%. Jorgensen and Hawkins, the only other candidates who will be listed on the ballot, were not offered as choices in that poll. However, the option of “other” did receive 2%.
In addition to the presidential race, the University of Massachusetts poll also surveyed voters regarding Texas’ U.S. Senate race. In that poll, Republican incumbent John Cornyn led Democrat MJ Hegar, 49-44%. Libertarian Kerry McKennon and Green candidate David B. Collins were not offered as options in the poll, although the option of “Another candidate” received 0%.
Voters will decide this contest on Tuesday, November 3.
