By Gus Trujillo, Democratic candidate for U.S. House of Representatives, District 13

Our district, my home, deserves an effective leader who will serve the people and not private interests or their own. This leader must be a genuine voice in Washington where he can break through the noise and move the country forward. We have to move forward for a strong and growing middle class; for affordable and accessible healthcare that protects those with pre-existing conditions; for protecting our farmers facing the threat of bankruptcy; for ensuring that our public education system is high quality and that it’s able to meet the needs of the new world economy; for making higher education affordable and accessible; and for improving the health and wellbeing of our veterans. In order to fix these issues and the many more we face today we’ll need a leader who’s dedicated to work hard for the people of district 13 first. I am that leader and I want to make a true difference for the place that gave me so much. I’m running for congress because you deserve a genuine voice who will fight on your behalf to make our district and our country a better place for generations to come. I am your servant leader and I’m ready to represent you. Vote Gus Trujillo on March 3rd.

Gus Trujillo was born & raised in Amarillo, TX. He was a Congressional Intern for Representative Mac Thornberry at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, DC in 2013. He is a graduate of West Texas A&M University where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) Degree in Management.
