By Richard Herman, Republican candidate for U.S. House of Representatives, District 13

Hello, my name is Richard Herman and I need your vote to represent each of you in Congress.

You all know why I’m here asking for your vote because it’s important.  I’m not a great writer or speaker and I will not try to convince you that I am anything else. Now, what I will say is deep down inside we are all concerned with the direction of our great nation.

I need your vote, but I don't want to be just another Congressman. We have had that and need someone who is better. We need someone who is passionate about people. We need someone who understands that we all put our pants on one leg at a time.

If you elect me, I would like to help everyone, not just those that are rich, lobby or donate money.

You see, I believe we all want to help one another because we are human beings and caring. We want to live free and share happiness and not misery.I don’t believe that we hate and despise one another because Texans are good people. Our way of life is free, bold and beautiful, but our politicians have lost their way. Lobbyists, money and greed have poisoned our souls because their actions create hate, misery and division in our nation. We have developed internet and speedy communication, but we have shut ourselves out in communicating with one another. Computers, cell phones and gadgets that give us abundant ways to simplify our lives has left us in wanting companionship desiring human connections. Our knowledge has made us cynical of the unborn when life should be cherished. Our cleverness, hard and unkind has us forgetting the elderly we have become a people that thinks too much and feels so little.

Much more than rich politicians, we need a man that respects humanity. More than a slick clever lobbyist, we need a man who is kind and gentle.

Without these qualities’ life will be violent, and all will be lost.

The media, internet and the cell phones have brought us knowledge, but the abuse and misuse by politicians has divided us. The very intent of these technologies was to bring out the goodness in mankind and unity of us all.

Even now as I speak there are politicians reaching millions throughout the world inciting hate and declension amongst the people while there are millions of despairing homeless veterans and children in our nation. There are women with unborn children struggling as victims of a system that justifies the killing of the unborn.

To those that are listening, I say – No more!

Our country is under attack by politicians that have become dictators, our nation is becoming swamped by greed and corruption creating misery. The socialist politicians have declared war on our belief in freedom and liberty.  They are giving more to illegals than they do our own people. They have created bitterness toward making progress. The very greed that drives them has all but forgotten our elderly parents, and families. They want to take away our 2nd amendment rights leaving us defenseless against their abusive nature.

I say- No More!

If I breathe, and you allow me to represent you I will fight to return the power to the people. I will fight to protect the unborn. I will fight to protect our freedom and our constitutional rights. The power, opportunities and freedoms they have taken from you will be returned to you the people as was intended by our forefathers. And so long as I represent your liberty will never perish and you will have a voice.

You the people deserve the very best in a representative and you have the power to make your voices be heard.

Let me fight the good fight for the dream that will give our children the opportunity to a better future and security. Give me the chance to return the beauty that makes their lives wonderful and full of hope.

In 1 Corinthians 13:13 he says, “Three things will last forever: faith, hope, and love-and the greatest of these is love.” I have read it so often that I forget the power it has but it always brought me strength in difficult times.

I believe if you vote for me our area will unite and because of my passion for people we will all unite with the hope of a better future.

I am asking for the opportunity to represent each of you to allow me to fight for our freedom, to allow me to do away with the barriers being created by the socialist agenda, to get rid of the politicians that promote hate and intolerance. I am asking you to vote for me so that I may fight to fulfill the American Dream of Opportunity.

Thanks for the opportunity to serve and God Bless You All!
