Amarillo College Library to Host McKay Book Signing

The Amarillo College Library is pleased to announce that it will host a book-signing event featuring local author Marcy McKay in the week following Spring Break.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 26 on the fourth floor of the Ware Student Commons on the Washington Street Campus.

Guests will have the opportunity to meet McKay, who will sign complimentary bookmarks and/or copies of her award-winning novel Pennies from Burger Heaven, which will be available for purchase.

“I grew up in Amarillo, so I’ve spent a lifetime watching the students that Amarillo College serves,” said McKay, whose 2015 debut novel was named Best Mainstream Novel and Best of Show by Frontiers in Writing.

“AC is changing the face of our community,” she said.

McKay is also a life coach who finds joy in helping others.
