Ronny Jackson has picked up another key endorsement ahead of the July 14 Republican runoff for U.S. House, District 13.
On Thursday, it was announced that Jackson had been endorsed by Texas Right to Life ahead of the hotly contested Republican primary runoff for the congressional seat. The endorsement for Jackson by the group comes after the group’s endorsed candidate from the March 3 primary, businessman Chris Ekstrom, was edged out of the runoff.
In a statement, Jackson reacted positively to the endorsement, also reaffirming his pro-life stance on the issues.
“All life is precious, and every life is a sacred gift from God,” Jackson said.
Jackson will face Josh Winegarner in the runoff in July. The winner of the primary runoff will face Democrat Gus Trujillo and Libertarian Jack B. Westbrook in November.
