Ronny Jackson has picked up the support of Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller in the July 14 runoff for U.S. House District 13.
In a statement, Miller praised Jackson, calling him “one of us” and saying that Jackson has “cowboy logic” that will be put to work for the people of the 13th District. Miller’s endorsement for Jackson comes as the two recently participated in a tele-town hall.
Jackson, the former Physician to the President, is set to face former lobbyist Josh Winegarner in the Republican runoff to replace U.S. Rep. Mac Thornberry (R-Clarendon). The winner of the runoff will face Democrat Gus Trujillo and Libertarian Jack B. Westbrook in November.
