State Sen. Kel Seliger (R-Amarillo) is in Josh Winegarner’s corner headed into the highly-anticipated July 14 runoff for U.S. House District 13.
Seliger made his support for Winegarner official in a statement released through Winegarner’s campaign on Monday. In the statement, Seliger said there is “no doubt” Winegarner is the right candidate to replace retiring U.S. Rep. Mac Thornberry (R-Clarendon) in the U.S. House.
“I am proud to endorse Josh Winegarner, and I humbly ask that you join me at the polls on July 14th,” Seliger said in his statement.
Seliger joins his fellow Texas Senate colleague, Sen. Charles Perry (R-Lubbock), in supporting the lobbyist-turned-politician Winegarner for the seat.
Early voting runs through July 10. Election Day is July 14.
