President Donald Trump and Republican U.S. House candidate Ronny Jackson will be talking directly with voters in Amarillo and across Texas’ 13th Congressional District next week.
Trump and Jackson will participate in a live tele-town hall on Monday at 6pm, as first reported in the Texas Scorecard. In the town hall, Trump and Jackson will discuss a number of issues related to the 13th Congressional District, including agriculture issues, economic issues, oil and gas issues, and more.
Jackson is currently squaring off with former lobbyist Josh Winegarner in the July 14 Republican runoff to replace retiring U.S. Rep. Mac Thornberry (R-Clarendon). Trump has endorsed Jackson, while Thornberry has endorsed Winegarner.
The winner of the runoff will face Libertarian Jack B. Westbrook and either Democrat Greg Sagan or Gus Trujillo in November.
Election Day is July 14.
