Dr. Ronny Jackson, the Republican nominee for Texas’ 13th Congressional District U.S. House seat, was spotted exiting Air Force One with President Trump in Midland on Wednesday.
During Trump’s visit to Midland, Jackson was seen exiting Air Force One, along with former Texas Gov. Rick Perry and others. Jackson’s campaign later posted photographs from the trip, showing Jackson with the Texas Republican Party’s new chairman, Allen West, and several other Republican congressional nominees from across Texas. The visit by Trump in Midland attracted Republican activists and candidates from across the state to support his bid for re-election.
The appearance by Jackson is not the first time Jackson has been spotted with Trump, but it is the first time the Republican congressional contender has been spotted with the President since clinching his party’s nomination for Congress earlier this month. Jackson previously visited with Trump during his visit to Dallas in June.
Jackson is currently on his way to face Democrat Gus Trujillo and Libertarian Jack B. Westbrook in the November general election to replace retiring U.S. Rep. Mac Thornberry (R-Clarendon).
