Local authorities are currently investigating an aggravated robbery as this week’s “Crime of the Week.”

According to Amarillo Crime Stoppers, on Monday, December 7th, officers responded to an auto burglary in the 4300 block of Alicia Street. The victim reported coming out to an unknown suspect taking items from a trailer on the property. When confronted, the suspect entered his vehicle to leave the scene, and then ran over the victim. As this happened. The male victim started to fire rounds at the suspect as he left.

APD reports the female victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The suspect is believed to be a black or Hispanic male driving a silver Honda Accord with possible bullet holes in the rear of the vehicle. A yellow 20-gallon Bostic air compressor was stolen in this incident.
