U.S. Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-Amarillo) is running for another term to the U.S. House of Representatives.
On Saturday, Jackson filed to seek re-election to the U.S. House, representing Texas’ 13th Congressional District. Jackson, a U.S. Navy veteran and former physician to the president under Presidents Barack Obama and Donald Trump, will be seeking his second term in office after first being elected from a crowded field of contenders in 2020.
Jackson has drawn one challenger this year so far — Democrat Kathleen Brown, an attorney from Wichita Falls.
Candidates have until Monday, December 13 to file to run for office. The primary election date is scheduled for March 1, 2022.
