Voters in Amarillo and Canyon have combined to cast just under 5,000 ballots through the first week of early voting.
Without Friday numbers available, 4,970 ballots have been cast in-person early by voters in Potter and Randall Counties for the May 1 election. Additionally, voters in both counties have also combined to turn in 1,905 mail-in ballots.
Early voting will continue on Monday and Tuesday of next week, with Election Day set for May 1. Mail-in ballots can be turned in to elections officials as late as Saturday to still count toward the vote totals for the election.
