Through Friday, Amarillo voter turnout is up 31 percent compared to the 2019 municipal election.
According to numbers posted by both counties in Amarillo, 623 voters turned out to early vote on Friday in Potter County, while 1,127 voters turned out on Friday in Randall County. The Friday numbers posted by both counties reflected the day as the best turnout day so far during the May 1 election’s early voting period.
In-person, 6,720 ballots have been cast early between both Potter and Randall Counties. In addition, 2,028 ballots have also been cast by mail between both counties so far, with 1,151 mail-in ballots still outstanding.
Early voting ends tomorrow and Election Day is Saturday.
