State Rep. Four Price (R-Amarillo) is serving as a member of the host committee for one congressional candidate’s upcoming campaign fundraiser, according to media reports.
On Friday, Texas Tribune reporter Patrick Svitek reported via Twitter that Price will serve as a member of the host committee for State Rep. Jake Ellzey’s Monday fundraiser featuring former Gov. Rick Perry. Price is one of 26 House members serving on the host committee for Ellzey’s event.
Ellzey (R-Waxahachie) is a first term member of the Texas House who is currently locked in a heated special election runoff to replace the late Rep. Ron Wright in Texas’ 6th Congressional District. Ellzey is opposed in the runoff by Susan Wright, the widow of Rep. Wright. Wright has already picked up an endorsement from former President Donald Trump and several other national-level Republicans for her candidacy.
The runoff in this election will take place on July 27.
