Amarillo College’s East Campus will serve as the host site for Carmageddon, a car show being conducted by the West Texas Region of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 12.
The event, which is free and open to the public, takes place in the parking lot of the Transportation Career Center building. The festivities will include food trucks, live music and vendors.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the West Texas SCCA “Wrench It” Scholarship for Amarillo College students enrolled in industry programs.
Cars, trucks and motorcycles of all ages and from all origins are welcome to participate. The cost to enter cars is $20 for preregistration and $25 on the day of the event. The cost for vendor participation is $80.

Classes in which car owners will be vying for trophies include Old School Pre-war; Old School Post-war; Craziest Appearance; New School; People’s Choice; Best in Show; Best in Progress; and Best Import. The trophy presentation will commence at 2:30 p.m.
