Following an announcement on Tuesday that he will be running for City Council, Hobert “Gunny” Brown has published a Facebook poll asking users which seat he should run for.

In his announcement, he stated he would not run against Tom Scherlen, who has announced a bid for Place 3, or Cole Stanley, who currently serves in Place 1. That left Places 2 and 4 as options, as well as mayor (though he stated a bid for mayor was “very unlikely”).

Brown captioned his poll with the following: “I am going to let the people decide what seat on the City Council I should run for.” As of writing, his poll (which is still ongoing) had Place 4 (currently held by Howard Smith) in first place, Place 2 (currently held by Freda Powell) in second place, and Mayor in third place.
