Voters in Potter County cast their first ballots for the May Republican and Democratic primary elections on Monday, casting 257 ballots during the first day of voting.
According to Potter County, 257 votes were cast Monday, with the largest share of those ballots coming in at the Santa Fe Building in downtown Amarillo, where 86 voters cast ballots. In addition to those totals, 729 mail-in ballots have also been cast as of Tuesday, with 550 mail-in ballots requested that are still outstanding.
Voters have until Friday to vote early for the runoff elections. Election Day is scheduled for Tuesday, May 24.
